Re-visioning:
The scope of this project has narrowed. After class feedback on the challenge of designing an interface to cater to the needs of too varied an audience we have refined our focus.
New scope:
Develop and design an interface for "pathways" that student groups use during their field trips to the Museum. This will include a student interface, a teacher interface, a chaperone interface and a website to manage the content.
Methodology:
This prototype is horizontal in nature; focusing on the application without details of implementation. Together we discussed the capabilities of each of these interfaces, brainstormed, divided the design work, and met to collectively edit the prototypes.
Brainstorm Session #1
We began working on the lo-fidelity prototype by going back to the notes we collected from our interviews with museum patrons, themes from the affinity diagram, and the personas.
Brainstorm Session #2
In session number two, we shared our paper prototypes. Opting for a very simple and visual design-free, the lo-fi prototype is as minimal as possible, we decided on wire frames for each screen of interaction. Above all else, these designs focus on functionality and flow.
